Bio

MY STORY
My name is Kate. I was born in Philadelphia, and currently I am located there. I live with my mom, dad and dog. My brothers just recently moved 15 minutes away from us. My mother was born in Korea, my father was born and raised in Philadelphia. I can still go and see the house he lived in. When my father was 21 he joined the army during the Vietnam war. He was stationed in the town in which my mother lived in. They met, fell in-love, and married. They moved to the states a few weeks later. Surprisingly my father's mom approved of his decision and taught my mom everything she knows today. A few years later they had my oldest brother Marty. He was only 2 years old when my other brother Tom was born. When Tom was about a year old, my grandmother died. I have no clue who my grandfather was, for he was a disgrace to the family .. that's what I heard my whole life. My parents tried numerous times to have more children, they almost had their wish a few times, but they ended up in mis-carriages and my mom almost died once from one being born. They tried once more, they had me. I was born on May 3, 1990. There is about a 10 year difference between me and my brothers. My brothers are my role models. They been through far worse that I will ever experience. My parents had tough times with money and things, and my brothers had to put up with it. They taught me everything, they have always been there for me when I needed them. Nothing very dramatic about my life has happened so far, but yet I still have the rest of my life. The closet adults I have ever had were my parents, my god-mother and my great uncle and aunt. My other family isn't close with us like they used to be. We used to be close with my cousin Ray, he used to live with us when I was still very young. My dad to this day still says the best thing he ever did in his life was he kicked Ray out of our house because he was into drugs and alcohol and he started to get help for it. We also used to be close with my cousin Missy for a point in time. Her daughters used to be my heros. I would always stay over their house and stay with them. But when she divorced for her third time, her daughters went to live with their grandfather who happens to be my uncle. I haven't seen another memeber of my family for two years. In 1998 my great aunt Mary passed away from a stroke. She was one of the most influencial women you could ever meet. She kept her kids in a straight line and made sure the family was perfect. My god-mother, I haven't heard from her in a while, but still on my special ocassions, she sends me money and a card. I go to high school now. Well not officially, in September I officially become a freshmen of the Little Flower school. I am catholic but not by choice. I have some of the greatest friends you could ask for. My best friend, me and her have been together since second grade. And some of them I just met this year when my school combined with 3 others. Our graduation shirt says "We came as 4 .. we leave as 1 .. the class of 2004". Now starts a new chapter of my life. Boys .. Friends .. Mistakes .. Love .. and everything below. But I'm ready for it all .. You may think I'm just alittle crazy or weird, but I don't care what you think, I'm happy with the real me.
